Brief Description

Good looking and fast car, the ultimate Q car.
I bought this car with the intention of restoring her to her former glory. The engine had been fully rebuilt and tuned slightly with polished, ported and larger valves.

Reliability

No problems in the time that the car was on the road.

Performance

130 bhp from a 2.0 4 cylinder engine is still good by todays standards. The 16 valve design was revolutionary at the time. The ultimate Q car, it is great to pull up next to boy racers at the traffic lights and see the look on their face as you power away from them.

Practicality

Four doors, good rear leg and headroom.
Decent sized boot.

Comfort

Nicely specced interior with good quality trim and seats, wooden dashboard and side caps to the doors make the car feel upmarket.

Overall Rating

The Dolomite Sprint is a brilliant car. The acceleration (0-60 in a little over 8 seconds) and power are second to none, and will, frankly leave a lot of modern day cars standing, even though it's pushing 30yrs old.

The sprint is a piece of British motoring history and stands out from the crowd especially when put next to the euro boxes that all look similar.
